Matthew Trustram

New Media Project Manager, European Broadcasting Union

As New Media Project Manager at the EBU Mr. Trustram plays a coordinating role in the work of several expert groups, including the New Radio Group whose areas of interest include future platforms for radio, and implications of new technologies for broadcasters and programme makers. His own interests include hybrid radio production and workflow (having collaborated on the development of the EBU’s hybrid production platform demonstrated at the European Parliament in Brussels in October 2011), and the relative strengths of complementary platforms in a multiplatform broadcast / broadband playout model.

Prior to joining the EBU he worked as a journalist and multi-platform producer at the BBC and Swiss public-service broadcaster SRG. The EBU serves 85 national media organizations in 56 countries in and around Europe. It represents its Members and promotes the values and distinctiveness of public service media in Europe and around the world.

The Eurovision and Euroradio networks deliver news, sports, events and music to EBU Members and other media organizations. Services to Members range from legal advice, technical standardization and development to coproduction and exchange of quality European content.  For more information about the EBU visit www.ebu.ch
